Design is a major component of making a document accessible and being able to design documents that are visually accessible and simple to make fully compliant is becoming increasingly important.
Government clients want to know that their documents are being made accessible from the beginning, to avoid copious revisions and rejection of ideas.
Accessible design doesn’t need to be boring, and our training sessions are designed to give you the guidelines to work within and the flexibility to explore design options with confidence.

Specifically tailored towards smaller teams and individual designers / copywriters, our online training sessions are a cost-effective and condensed 1.5 hour session focusing on the specific areas required for the audience.
For international (outside of Australia) participants, a longer or more tailored session can be organised with added information to meet PDF/UA standards upon request.
The online session is personalised to the participants, running as an open conversation between presenter and audience to ensure the information is understood and as relevant as possible.
Follow-up sessions are also available in this format after either the online or in-house training seminar, allowing for further questions and validation of skills after the team has had the opportunity to implement what they have learned.
Ideally for larger teams or government departments, our fully customised in-house training session involves a comprehensive design and/or content writing guidance session over up
to 4 hours. Presenters will travel to your premises to deliver the session anywhere across Australia, as well as running roadshows to each state throughout the year.
Taking examples of your existing documents, we will personalise the training session towards the skills you need, the types of work you do and how to best set you up for accessibility.
During the session, we run through everything from what accessibility is, to how we check
if a document is accessible, to what the end user of an accessible document gains from
